Born and raised in Pakistan, Fazal emigrated to the UK as a 11 year old boy with great aspirations. He came equipped with a passion for learning and a knack with numbers. At a young man, Fazal’s love of learning with fulfilled by his friendship with Mac Bevan, who often provided him with books and lengthy discussions ranging from politics to sports.
Fazal joined the RAF for a period of his life and made many great friends along the way. However, his dedication to learning did not end. He pursued a career in accounting and build a family business. As his children grew, so did their ability with maths and three of his four children currently work in finance. Fazal still works with numbers today, as his role with an equity firm provides him with plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and continue his dedication to learning inspired all those years ago by Mac himself. Fazal uses his meticulous skill set in his role as a trustee for the charity ensuring the financial aspect of the charity and well maintained.
